Because of Signal’s excellent end-to-end encryption, you won’t see any of the chat from prior to when you joined. So that might make it seem weird or mysterious, but it’s really no different than when you walk into a party that’s been going on for a little while. 😄

i think i've said this before on here but i always think about an old ceramics teacher who insisted on any vessel that could potentially hold food, to be food safe since ceramic items can last for such a long time no one in the future will know if its toxic to eat from. these things stick around, some for loooong after anyone we know is gone. i also think about the kind of care to think of someone that far into the future. i think a lot of us here are thinking of those far off folks alongside ourselves and wanting better for both, i hope we can get that, and ensure it for them

It also seems worth mentioning that if I do block you, you should rest assured that it's because you've WON. - If they ask to search anything: "I do not consent to a search."

- I want to talk to a lawyer.

Don't trust the cops. Are they promising you a deal? Not only are they allowed to lie, they don't even have authority to to promise you a deal. Only the prosecutor can do that. Ask for a lawyer and STFU.
