Nobody told me that Manning published a book titled `Classic Game Programming on the NES: Make your own retro video game` just last year. It looks pretty good. It seems to tackle a lot of generic retro game problems in the context of the #NES. It covers multiple tools (code editors, NES graphics and music editors). It has a couple chapters just on getting up to speed with 6502 ASM. I haven't read it, yet, but I'm gonna get it soon!

For #MountainMonday I have a rather old photograph I made way back in 2011. The lesson from this one was to wait until the sunset is absolutely, positively, finished before heading back to the car. This one may have involved some running. :)

@pzmyers Also, as a manager in tech, "five things you did this week" is an insane way to approach this, given that any given thing my team or I do can be broken up to a nearly infinite level of "tasks" while still sounding like each one was weighty if you have no real idea about how my technology base works -- or, equally, sounding like each one was busywork/makework if you don't understand how complicated software development can be.

As a COMPETENT manager, I operate under the assumption that any professional skill I haven't been trained in is at LEAST as complicated as what I know, so I assume the same thing is true for 99% of the Federal Government.
