Someone proposed that LEGO make a set for the Stonewall National Monument in New York. It seems really well-designed to me, and LEGO's policy is that if a proposal gets over 10,000 votes, they'll actually consider it and respond. It's sitting around 9,500 votes right now. You can vote for it at the link below.

screenshot of a proposed LEGO build for Stonewall National Monument, NY. The proposal was made on Jan 20, 2025. The sample build shows the facades of a 3-story tan building and a 2-story building (white on top, red brick on bottom) with a park in front. There are minifigs in the park. There are pride flags on the shorter building and window boxes on the taller one. The street sign on the light post says Christopher Street. In the red brick wall are two arched doorways framing a large picture window that says "The Stonewall Inn." There's a rainbow crosswalk between the Stonewall Inn and the park, and a bike lane.

People ask: "Why the preoccupation with #Bluesky? Lots of good folks are going there and love it."

@Daojoan does a great job of providing the long answer in this brilliant piece: https://www.joanwestenberg.com/big-tech-wants-you-trapped-the-open-web-sets-you-free-2/

But the short answer is that, by funneling users onto another unsafe centralized corporate platform, #Bluesky inhibits the construction of truly defensible public social media.

So now, when something happens over on Bluesky, the Fedi will not be ready to absorb a rapid mass migration.

How long does it typically take to receive a response from #Apple after submitting the default browser entitlement request form? It has been more than a week. There is no option to track the status on App Store Connect, like other review processes. 🤷‍♂️

Documentation Important Request the default browser entitlement by filling out the Default browser entitlement request form. In that form you can also request the com.apple .developer.browser.app-— installation entitlement. If you do that and your request for the default browser entitlement is accepted you get both the default browser entitlement and the app-installation entitlement for your browser app.
