Of course anyone can feel the way they feel about any particular episode, but when it comes to pacing, I think each episode is paced exactly as it’s meant to be. To complain about an episode feeling slow is to suggest that it could have been written to be faster, but I don’t think that’s the case at all. This isn’t a common action series; this is something truly unique. It’s one of the most thoughtful things I’ve ever seen on TV, and the pacing is part of that.

I've never really understood criticism of any episode of #Severance being “slow”. The series premiere did a phenomenal job of setting the place, which is a steady and deliberate crawl. The entire first season takes place over just a few days (and season two appears to be doing the same). It’s a very purposeful, methodical show that rewards patience. Sometimes we get a little more action and intensity, but that’s the exception; never the rule.

Last Tuesday, I was set to give a talk on 'climate change in the Northeast' at a retirement home but had to cancel due to hourly job threats.

After nearly two weeks of overwhelming uncertainty, today it happened. I was fired from my dream of working at NOAA. I'm so sorry to everyone also affected.

The reasons I was given:
--> I did not demonstrate that my work was in the public interest, and my ability, knowledge and/or skills did not match NOAA's needs.
