Yes!!!

Arguably even more significant impact than for building. (Though there the deadweight accrues mostly to developers and landowners, and so is harder to dislodge.)

Car bloat is worsening congestion.

In Bloomberg CityLab, I wrote about a groundbreaking new study that analyzed Minnesota road data from 1995 to 2019. The authors' conclusion: The surge in SUVs reduced highway capacity by 9.5%.

This, I think, is what smart people have such trouble accepting: that morons can succeed perfectly well in US politics. When a GW Bush or a Trump rises all the way to the top, it doesn't mean they're secretly smart, it means our corrupt, desiccated system is defenseless against venal morons.

To be very clear: I take no solace whatsoever from the fact that they are morons. They successfully took power & are successfully destroying the country right in front of us. They are evil morons, with a plan, breaking the law on purpose. Being morons is no particular impediment!

The most obvious lesson to draw from the leaked Signal chat is that these people really are morons. It's not a public act, it's not a schtick, there's not some secret back room where they drop the facade. They are genuinely stupid, incompetent people.

@IndyRichard @pluralistic If we ban private jets, there's a real risk that one day you’ll find yourself sharing a flight with Elon Musk, his 30-person security detail, and a DOGE staffer named DonkeyTaint. Until we can make it law that the hyper-rich have to travel in cargo, I say we shouldn't risk it.

I believe the proper way to do this is to have OpenDMARC enforce the DMARC/SPF records on inbound email.

However, OpenDMARC seems to be doing just crazy nonsense. Can anyone explain to me how to actually debug it? E.g....
