If any journalist going to WWDC is reading this, I would love it if you could press folks involved with App Review to give a statement on what their plan is for when armed DOGE agents extrajudicially seize the app store's datacenters in order to deploy tracking software to migrants & trans people's phones.

Not a shitpost; this is a serious question. This is not a plan that we will get to develop after the fact. Do they have a hot spare of their trust root in a different jurisdiction?

Hey folks! I've been laid off from my ops role at a tech startup and am hunting for something new in ops, PM, or data work.

What I bring to the table: taking on messy, ambiguous problems, building systems that make sense, and using data to figure out what's actually going on. I'm equally happy diving into spreadsheets or running a meeting where everyone leaves knowing what they need to do next.

If you know of anything that might be a fit, I'd love to connect. Thanks all!

As bad (and it is bad) as this entire SignalGate thing is in and of itself, there is literally no gov’t agency remaining that can or will bring charges, dismiss the guilty, or deliver accountability.

Media would do everyone a favor by reporting that part of the story.

One other thing about the Signal debacle: The reference in the thread to a document being sent "in your high-side email" demonstrates that these people had access to classified systems and were able to use them. They were not using Signal because they lacked available alternatives.

Signal is more convenient that these systems, which may be the reason. Or it may have been, as many have speculated, to evade federal records laws. But whatever the reason, it wasn't out of operational necessity.
