so four fucking Dem quislings in the House VOTED FOR THE 'SAVE' ACT, which will require you to present a birth certificate with your full, current name to vote. Transed your gender and changed your name? Won't work. Got married and changed your last name? No vote.
https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/house-passes-save-act-voter-suppression-law/
Theoretically it doesn't have much of a chance in the Senate but that also requires a fillibuster and I do not trust the Dems to even bother with that. I'm filling out the form for a birth certificate amendment right now.
(Is one of these supposedly-Democrat motherfuckers your rep? Reps. Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.), Henry Cuellar (Texas) and Ed Case (Hawaii). Give 'em HELL.)

Good news if you're a super rich tax cheat!
In the rare cases when the IRS has enough resources to audit you and detect your fraud, there will still be no one to enforce the law. Trump's DoJ is shutting down the entire tax division.

I love Balatro. I don’t think I’ve loved a game this much in a decade. I’ve also never been so bad at a game I love this much (OK, Spelunky, but let’s agree that doesn’t count).
I really want to get better at this game, but even if I don’t it doesn’t take away the unbridled joy of the (at least…) hour a day I spend playing.
Please play Balatro and help me get better at it. It’s on every platform and OS.

Seeing the lengths people will go to in order to cast their vote is simultaneously humbling and inspiring.
I highly recommend anyone who is able to volunteer. You learn a lot about the behind-the-scenes of your elections while serving your neighbor.

Election security is back in the news, and it's easy to be taken in by confident but specious claims of "hacked elections". There *are* technical vulnerabilities in US election infrastructure, but fortunately so far there's no credible evidence they've been exploited to alter an election outcome. I know that's frustrating, but it's the reality we live in.

Why did they vote to eliminate online and mail-in voter registration? Why did they choose to restrict access to the ballot instead of protecting it?
H.R. 22 would disproportionately impact married women who have changed their last names, naturalized citizens, military members, and tribal citizens. Similar laws in Kansas and Arizona have blocked thousands of eligible voters from registering. No Democrat should support this dangerous legislation.

This was an opportunistic capture from a hotel balcony, made with a small camera and 90mm lens. I made several exposures, waiting for good light, which came out briefly for this one.
The wrong gear is definitely better than nothing, but still not as good as the right gear. This is a perfectly acceptable image, but I can't look at it without wishing I had used a view camera, a higher resolution sensor, and a slightly longer lens. But if I had insisted on that, I'd have no image at all.

Not atypical for papers to do this just funny and sad that the mayor is getting such careful treatment here.
