When designers think outside the box. Studio Ghibli designed this DVD case to make it look like the characters are checking their reflection in the water.
Sweet!

DVD box opened with a raised lid & the disc inside. Inside the lid there’s a picture of the characters standing by water & looking down. The reflection in the CD gives the impression that they see their reflection in the water.
Same picture but from a distance for a better overview.

A handmade felt plushie representing a messenger pigeon held in front of a white wall. The pigeon has a teal head, a dark pink stripe on its neck and a grey body with darker flight feathers and tail. It has a big red and black eye and a little brown aviator helmet with goggles . A little metal set of keys is attached to it’s beak and a felt scroll closed with a felt wax seal is attached to its neck by a piece of red yarn.

Panel two: the cation reads "Casting the beady eye of his brilliant brain over the mysterious designs, he draws the only plausible conclusion..." below we see him with six coloured eggs with classic designs (bunny, spots, cross, stripes) saying "A conspiracy reaching to the highhest levels!" Panel three: the caption reads "Langdon's mind leaps instantly into immediate action." Now he is holding a basket full of eggs and racing out of the garden saying: "I must consult the secret underground library hidden beneath the vatican!" Panel four: A mother and child watch himfrom within the house. The child asks "Mummy, why did that man steal our easter eggs?". She replies "Don't worry darling, he's gone now."

How to write about fascism (1939)

STUPID NAZI CLAIMS ALTHOUGH damage to the battleship was not serious, stupid Nazi broadcasts sought to magnify the results into a propaganda victory similar to the sinking of the Ark Royal and half the rest of the British navy. In this is detected the inherent weakness of propaganda which is allowed ot run riot and pays no attention to the truth. A stage is soon reached when even the wish to believe is undermined. --The Sunday People, 31 Dec 1939
