Today in 1775:
Two days after the Battles of Lexington and Concord (and well before news of those events reached Virginia), Lord Dunmore ordered the removal of the gunpowder from the magazine in Williamsburg, Virginia, to a Royal Navy ship.
This action sparked local unrest, and Patrick Henry led a small militia force toward Williamsburg. Dunmore, fearing for his personal safety, retreated to a naval vessel, ending royal control of the colony.

‘Unlike the chat in which The Atlantic was mistakenly included, the newly revealed one was created by Mr. Hegseth. He used his private phone, rather than his government one, to access the Signal chat.’

It's more difficult to keep up with people when your own things (and the world) are taking up so much more time, and everything feels like it's taking up more time these days. Everything wants attention now, and not always for good ends. My solution here is to be understanding when I drop off people's radars, and hope they are the same with me.
So, I've come to a conclusion. Pocketbase is pretty dope.

Personally, I would not be doing elective travel to the US right now if I were a non-US citizen if I could avoid it, but for those who need to, I'd definitely want to do it in a way that minimized the chance that I spent weeks in an immigration lockup if someone didn't like the way I looked.

We're starting hear more and more stories of visitors to the US being refused admission at land borders and airports and sent home after days or weeks in custody.
Have there been cases of this happening where US Customs operates at extraterritorial airports (e.g., many Canadian airports, etc)? I'm assuming not, since you'd have committed no crime in that country. If that's correct, such places might be a safer route into the US (not that we're a very good tourism destination right now).

@heidilifeldman It's interesting that the article refers to Abiline Airport, a nearby regional civil airport, and not Dyess Air Force Base, which is right on the other side of town. This implies they're using a civilian charter carrier rather than military transport for these flights.
I was looking forward to a case where someone was ordered to proceed with the removals, refused, is court-marshaled, and raises an "unlawful order" defense.
