I was asked by a 20 year younger friend how my internet was back then. I was 25, the channel members were like 20 to 30 years old. Somehow this young girl found her way to us. She was 14 when she joined the channel. >>

Americans Might Love Cinco De Mayo, but Few Know What They’re Celebrating

So it’s possible that Mexico’s victory at the Battle of Puebla changed the course of American history.”

Text Shot: The Battle of Puebla took place on May 5, 1862, when the Mexican Army, led by Commander General Ignacio Zaragoza, repelled attacks by the French army on the city of Puebla, located about 70 miles southeast of Mexico City. It was a small but inspirational victory for Mexico, and four days later, on May 9, 1862, Juárez declared Cinco de Mayo a national holiday. Even though the French would eventually defeat the Mexican Army and take control of the country under the short-lived Second Mexican Empire, which lasted from 1864 to 1867, the victory in the Battle of Puebla sent a powerful message to the rest of the world.

Is your Chinese food any good if it doesn’t come from a strip mall restaurant that looks like this? #project365

The image depicts the interior of a restaurant, specifically focusing on the counter area and menu display. The counter is made of wood with a black countertop, and there is a cash register visible. On the counter, there is a blue container labeled "Thank You" with handwritten text, a pink pen holder, and a plastic bag. Behind the counter, a menu board displays various dishes with images and names, including "Wing M. French Fries," "Beef Lo Mein," and "General Tso's Chicken." The menu board is framed by red Chinese characters on the left and right sides. To the left of the counter, there is a wooden door with a restroom sign and a handicapped accessibility sign. The wall behind the counter is adorned with framed certificates and a thermostat. A Snapple cooler is visible on the right side of the counter. The ceiling is equipped with fluorescent lighting, and a curtain partially covers the kitchen area.
