On this 5th anniversary of his passing, I reflect on how America is such a different place before and after George Floyd's death.
Before, most white people claimed not to know how cops mistreat and kill us, as they demanded that cops do more of it.
Now, they still demand more of it, but with full knowledge.🤡
And again, don't try to "Red State, Blue State," this. Don't try to make it about Trump.
Biden killed any and all hope for lasting change after George Floyd. Biden demanded more killer cop units that don't work. Biden presided over the most murderous year in US policing history.
Boston has worse police racism than Birmingham Alabama.
That's not saying that Birmingham Alabama policing is good or equitable for Black people. That's saying that the bar is on the floor.
And white folk in the US know that it's on the floor. They know it's racist.
And most of them don't care.🤷🏿♂️
Most white Biden voters want to go back to an America where the government hurt Black people without consequence, but not white people.
But it's never going back.
That America is gone. We need a new path forward.
You can start caring about how Black people are treated, or share in our treatment.
