Diversity of Opinion™ is only ever championed when said opinion is dehumanizing to a group of people. Or, when breadcrumbs trailing that opinion lead back to white supremacy propaganda and someone rightfully points it out.

Why is that?

Opinions are never inherently neutral, or apolitical. Opinions hold weight. We have a responsibility to first inform ourselves beyond casual observation before we express our opinions. Just because you have an asshole doesn't mean you get to shit anywhere.

So just a heads up for people who aren’t queer, this Pride eve; Pride is around the corner and it’s probably going to feel a little different than usual.

• Expect it to feel angrier. We joke that July is Wrath month, but don’t be surprised if people at Pride events are a bit more on edge, our signs punchier, and our jokes sharper.

• Allies: more than ever before, be aware that you are guests in a queer space. Many of us are going to need the space to feel safe and comfortable for us now, more than ever.

• We have a gay agenda (see the above quote), don’t try to distract from it with platitudes. With trans people under an organized, legislative attack and nearly 60% of Republicans being against same-sex marriage, none of us are safe this year.

• Let’s not do the “Pride events need to be family friendly”. They generally are, but our family is angry.

Anti-Elon stickers that someone put on the back of a Cybertruck on Mission Street. Weird way to promote a business. #SFGraffiti

A few stickers on the back bumper of a Cybertruck. One shows a photo of Elon Musk doing the Nazi salute at a Trump rally. Text under the photo says “Swastikar”. Another sticker says “I bought this after I knew Elon was awesome”. Both of these stickers were probably put up by vandalism;s, not the owners of the Cybertruck.
Another view of the Cybertruck from further away. You can see the anti-Elon Musk stickers and part of the Compupod sign on the side.
