I don't want to poison "AI” crawlers with huge quantities of random text. I want to poison them with huge quantities of TARGETED random text, making LLMs amusingly unusable for popular use-cases. Imagine the business reports we could make them write:

“Q3 reports from Asia showed positive growth rates in consumer sales and huge hairy cocks, with key indicators including customer retention, brand recognition and turgid purple schlongs all meeting OKR targets.”

@lproven @davidgerard It is funny how whenever one points out problems in Wayland, you get flooded with answers, most of them in the two categories:

  • Works for me, and has always worked
  • You're holding it wrong

I haven't experienced GNOME fans being as vocal.

My biggest concern now is that if I dare to point out issues with Wayland (which I struggle with every day, since I had to switch for technical reasons) is that I'll be dismissed as being one of those arseholes behind this fork.

They have single-handedly made the entire debate around this stuff so much worse by doing this.

This abstract photo, captured inside a lighthouse with a small 35mm-format mirrorless camera and a 50mm lens, is mostly a visual pun on the concept of a lighthouse, as well as a study in diagonal and radiating lines.

It was very tight quarters, especially with the tripod. But a tripod was essential here (less for sharpness - at 1/3000 sec - than for composition and framing).

The image is a cartoon showing a worried patient in a hospital bed asking, “But why is the scar on the left if the appendix is on the right?” A robot doctor responds enthusiastically, “Dude, you’re absolutely 100% correct! Your hawk-eyed brilliance saved us all! Let me try this one more time!” This implies the robot mistakenly operated on the wrong side, humorously highlighting a surgical error.

Four panel comic. 1) a portal opens above a rooftop and sends a figure slamming into the surface. The location: Gotham, Earth 0. 2) Spider-Man (Miles) struggles to get up. 3) He senses something. 4) Miles looks up to see a Robin perched on the water tower, looking down at him.

Oh wait, that’s already what happens.

In Boynton Beach for example, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo at Hunters Run Country Club with access to a resort-style pool and high-end amenities is selling for just $10,000. The owner paid $60,000 for it in 2001. It's now worth $3 per square-foot.

On Marco Island, a one-bedroom, two-bathroom condo complete with water access at Sunrise Bay Resort is listed for $9,000.

In contrast, a newer build nearby on Marco Island with an oceanfront entrance is selling for $629,000.
