riverton is a nostalgic browser game where you adopt #virtualpets and own your own ranch! there’s life simulation elements, but it is meant to be a casual browser game you can play entirely alone or with others :) there’s all custom art from independent artists that is SO cute!

this project was made to teach myself php and game logic javascript. i made the game i always wanted as a kid, and it’s pretty fun! i have so much more i want to do with the site, but i’m just glad to move into this next phase without so many crunch deadlines. :)

I haven't experienced GNOME fans being as vocal.

My biggest concern now is that if I dare to point out issues with Wayland (which I struggle with every day, since I had to switch for technical reasons) is that I'll be dismissed as being one of those arseholes behind this fork.

They have single-handedly made the entire debate around this stuff so much worse by doing this.

It was very tight quarters, especially with the tripod. But a tripod was essential here (less for sharpness - at 1/3000 sec - than for composition and framing).
