The fuck? That's utterly insane.

Anyway, #Webflow kind of gets a bad wrap. But it is a world-class builder for serious front end developers.
No matter what I build, I write my HTML, CSS, and JS in Webflow. I couldn't imagine going back to writing HTML long-hand.
They have the best exporter, and the code is well optimized. Building in webflow is a great experience.
The problem is, Webflow the company kind of sucks. They are vampires.

It's not so much that Liquid Glass looks bad, which it does, but that without a doubt in my mind there were people in every department saying, look, maybe we shouldn't ship an OS where you can't read the text. And yet here we are anyway.
I know, the readability ship left the port a few versions ago -- my larger point: it's not the look that stings the most, but knowing that the expert people who understand and genuinely care about the human interaction problems have either already left or aren't being listened to.
Obviously this is an industry-wide plague, but it's most noticeable with Apple because, damn it, they used to be the best in the world at this and it's all so unnecessarily self-inflicted.

Woke up to find that a main gigabit feeder cable had failed. This took considerable time to diagnose. It took much longer to switch to a 100Mb backup circuit that I left in place when I installed the 1G, on the theory that it could indeed be a backup but would likely never be needed.
Now all these years later, bringing up that circuit had the feeling of the direct line between the two planets fighting a computer-directed "virtual war" in the original Star Trek episode "Taste of Armageddon". Yeah, there's a line, but it hasn't been used in centuries.

This fire escape stairwell, retrofitted onto the back of Georgetown's Healy Hall, reminded me a bit of a Piet Mondrian painting. Hard afternoon shadows added to the abstract view.
