Swiping on the screen to the multi-dimensional portal looking for destinations he hadn't tried, he comes across one that looks interesting in a train wreck sort of way. He reads the first review, "One of the dumbest and cruelest timelines I've seen. Very bad times there." He was in the mood to rubber neck at backward timelines, so interest piqued, he pressed "Select" and walked through the energized portal to "Earth 1048575: Trump US Presidency 2025."

He would later regret this decision.

#PersonalNote

Both of my parents have been gone for over a decade now, and both were very clear that they didn’t want a grave marker or other “pointless” memorial.

I understand and support their choice, and of course honored their wishes. But it always bothered me a little that I have no place to “visit” to remember them.

I got the idea recently to sponsor benches in parks that we frequented. I think they’d approve.

If you happen by one, take a moment to relax on their behalf.

Often pinball machines sit with credits on and their Start button flashing ready to play because winning a free game of pinball is a concept utterly alien to most people

Other games in the arcade don't let you play for free

Hell Mario Kart takes your dollar and you play one race and then it's game over even if you came in first position, meanwhile pinball's over here all HEY YOU GOT ENOUGH POINTS TO WIN A REPLAY, or HEY YOU SUCK AT PINBALL BUT THE LAST TWO DIGITS OF YOUR SCORE RANDOMLY MATCHED THIS NUMBER SO HAVE A REPLAY

For a couple of years in the 90's Williams tried having the machines scream "FREE GAME" instead of "Replay" but there was too much Everybody Knows for that to catch on

London's "Thin House" looks as if it belongs in a Potemkin village or as a background facade on a Hollywood studio lot, but it's something of a Tardis, larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. Created to make way for the tracks of the Metropolitan Railway (now the District and Circle lines) behind it, its triangular footprint gives it the illusion of being little more than a shallow rectangle when viewed from the street.
