Just think, there are enough vacant homes in the U.S. that every homeless person could have multiple vacation homes, just like the billionaires do... except for the fact that those vacant homes are owned by those billionaires and deliberately kept vacant.

There are approximately **14.9 million vacant homes** in the United States as of 2025. This figure comes from LendingTree and is based on U.S. Census Bureau data. The national vacancy rate is around 10.43%, which means more than one in ten homes across the country is sitting empty. Vacant homes include a variety of situations, such as homes for sale or rent, seasonal and recreational properties, and homes in transition—

Both of my parents have been gone for over a decade now, and both were very clear that they didn’t want a grave marker or other “pointless” memorial.

I understand and support their choice, and of course honored their wishes. But it always bothered me a little that I have no place to “visit” to remember them.

I got the idea recently to sponsor benches in parks that we frequented. I think they’d approve.

If you happen by one, take a moment to relax on their behalf.

For a couple of years in the 90's Williams tried having the machines scream "FREE GAME" instead of "Replay" but there was too much Everybody Knows for that to catch on

London's "Thin House" looks as if it belongs in a Potemkin village or as a background facade on a Hollywood studio lot, but it's something of a Tardis, larger on the inside than it appears on the outside.
