Why are all API passed to a third party logging/monitoring service? As you can see in the code below, it the API provided is being pass straight to https://helicone.ai, a tracking and monitoring service for AI calls and it is linked to a specific account hard coded in the source code Bearer sk-helicone-utidjzi-eprey7i-tvjl25y-yl7mosi does that mean all our API keys and data are subjected to helicone and whoever owns Bearer sk-helicone-utidjzi-eprey7i-tvjl25y-yl7mosi? src/services/customAgentService.ts

The Lincoln Memorial, an iconic DC tourist attraction, is crowded and bustling year round. But in the middle of the night, when it's empty and quiet, it becomes a very different place. It's solemn and peaceful in a way that takes you by surprise. I lingered longer than I needed to when taking this photo.

Part of my "slightly better versions of the pictures of local attractions than you might find hanging in your hotel room" series.

This is a very simple composition, the frame filled with the Memorial from roughly the perspective shown on the $5 bill. The National Parks Service does a superb job lighting the site.

Hey! I have two - yes! two! - books out today, being the new trade paperback versions of The Human Division and The End of All Things. This completes the repackaging of the first six books of the OMW series, with new covers and intros by me, ahead of The Shattering Peace coming out next month.

The new covers of the first six books of the Old Man's War series, which feature abstract geometrical shapes somewhat related to the original John Harris covers of these same books. Lots of circles and wedges. Also, my name is, like, fuckin' HUGE on these covers, it's kind of ridonkulous, but since I'm an ego monster, I kind of love it.

I don’t understand why we must spend billions of dollars and waste so much water for AI.

I just created an “AI-generated image” from the original using a few dabs of the retouch tool in the Photos app.

Might have taken a sip of water afterwards but that was it.

(Is there a word/phrase for taking a regular image and making it look like it was AI generated? There should be.)

A photo of yours truly wearing a pink t-shirt and pulling a face with a poster behind him with an etching of a Linotype machine and LINOTYPE written in blank ink and “Behold! The eight wonder of the word” in blue.
Same photo as before but the glasses seem to be protruding from my skull and the text in the poster is messed up, making it look as if it was AI generated.

Screenshot of social media post by Mohammed Haniya: Dozens of distress calls were made tonight from the Al-Sabra neighborhood in central Gaza City, following heavy artillery and air strikes that left dead and wounded, but ambulances have not yet been allowed to reach them. Entire families spent the night in indescribable terror, without electricity, without water, without safety. Some slept amidst the blood, while others remained beside the bodies of their loved ones until dawn, waiting for a miracle that would never come. Gaza is being wiped out, one by one, and its people are being left to die without witnesses.
