Thanks assholes. So here’s the deal — I’m not over 65 and I don’t have qualifying health conditions, so I don’t qualify for a COVID shot now.
I FUCKING GET SPRAYED WITH COVID ALL GODDAMNED DAY AT WORK. I WORKED THROUGH THE WORST DAYS OF THE PANDEMIC, I STOOD IN LINE FOR MY SHOT, I GOT PTSD, AND NOW THAT PUSILLANIMOUS WEASEL WHO HID FROM COVID IN 2020 SAYS I DON’T NEED A SHOT. FUCK HIM AND EVERYONE THAT VOTED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
Thanks for coming to my rant session.

This is the kind of headline that makes me so disgusted with journalism right now: "After six months in ICE custody, Charlotte woman chooses voluntary removal to Honduras" --
ICE kidnapped and imprisoned her. ICE subjects its prisoners to all kinds of indignities and abuses. She "agreed" to leave due to vile conditions inside, as story notes.
There is NOTHING voluntary about this. It's like a "confession" after torture.
At the very least, the headline should have put "voluntary" in quotes.

Okey dokey, the new COVID vaccine restrictions suck, & you can only get one if you have a condition that makes you high risk.
Here's the CDC's own list of conditions that meet that definition, and will let you get a shot if you want it.
Let's note the most common ones:
Asthma
Any mood disorder, from depression to anxiety to serious stuff like schizophrenia. If you are now or have ever been on antidepressants or antianxiety meds, you should have a pretty solid case you can make.
You have a BMI of 30+ (disclaimer: BMI is a racist, eugenicist measure, but if it lets you get a vaccine that could save your life or long-term health, go ahead and use it this time).
And here's the important one:
**You are physically inactive**. Most Americans who work office jobs can make the case that they live a sedentary life to a doctor. That can get you a shot.
So yeah. Talk to your PCP, or just go to the pharmacy when these shots become available, find your loophole condition, and protect yourself. COVID is solidly on the rise again.
I don't want a trip to the hospital. I'll be getting my shot. You should too.
Oh, and get your flu shot while you're at it! The flu still kills 20-30,000 people a year in the US alone!

@LillyHerself Tilt and Swing movements (which are possible with large format view cameras and as a feature on a handful of specialized DSLR lenses) tilt the plane of focus away from the film/sensor plane. Usually, the same distance from the camera is in focus across the frame. With tilt and swing, the focal distance changes across the frame. This can be used to keep, e.g., the ground in focus in a landscape as it goes to the distance, or, as here, to restrict what's in focus to a narrow slice.

What caught my eye was the old school graffiti moniker on the base of the milepost, in a style traditionally used by yard workers and hobos to tag freight cars.
