A photo of a group of soldiers in camouflage uniforms walk along a sidewalk in Washington, D.C., with a government building in the background. The building displays a large banner featuring Donald Trump’s face and the words “AMERICAN WORKERS FIRST,” alongside a large American flag. Cars are visible on the street nearby.

When a top CDC scientist resigns and cites eugenicist rhetoric from federal health agencies as a main reason, everyone should absolutely be paying attention.

Eugenics plays prominently in the rhetoric being generated and is derivative of a legacy that good medicine and science should continue to shun. The recent shooting at CDC is not why I am resigning. My grandfather, who I am named after, stood up to fascist forces in Greece and lost his life doing so. I am resigning to make him and his legacy proud. I am resigning because of the cowardice of a leader that cannot admit that HIS and his minions' words over decades created an environment where violence like this can occur. I reject his and his colleagues

A majority of Americans think Trump knew some (27%) or a lot (44%) about the sex crimes committed by Epstein against underage girls before investigations into Epstein began; only 8% say he knew nothing about them

Thanks to a loophole implemented in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is able to siphon resources and people from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The Gaza genocide is not merely another imperial war on an Arab population. It is not even a war against a national liberation movement, like the failed US invasions of Vietnam and Cuba.

It is quite literally the fascistic eradication of the Palestinians who live in Gaza.

Hey everyone, every Tuesday, my friend @Aseelsehwel asks for your help to feed her family. She can’t do it today (they’re trying to stay alive during a genocide) so she asked if I could do it on her behalf.
They need $500 each week for their family of 6.
Every single dollar makes a real difference If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing – it might reach someone who can help.
Thank you so much for your continued kindness and support.

So, suppose I'm setting up a Linux-based file server, for Linux-based clients.

Which protocol / server software should I use?

I'm talking about live access to the files on the server, not syncing and stuff. What's stable, secure, and fast (in that order)?

I'd like transparent access, i.e. mount it onto the client machine. It should be able to gracefully deal with disconnects and reconnects.

If there's an option I'm missing, feel free to comment. I'm not considering FTP though. :P

I'm deeply not convinced this "high risk conditions for the covid vaccine" list is going to work for everyone because I am inarguably high risk (I literally had chronic lung damage after covid) and even before this a pharmacist went ballistic on me & denied a booster once saying only cancer or HIV would qualify. It's gonna be a tough time.

While I'm certainly sympathetic to the plight of talented students who want to study or move here, this has red flags all over it.
