I was lukewarm about upgrading to the iPhone 17 (not enough new features, and I just replaced my iPhone 15 handset, which was a PTSD-inducing experience), but the new hardware memory safety features are probably a sufficiently compelling draw for me.

It did feel right when I wrote the bio, even though at that point I also included "non-binary" in that list. But feelings on your own gender identity can evolve over time. So it's "Linux person" now.

I am not changing the "g(r)ay asexual" bit though 😁

The skyscrapers along Park Avenue in the 40's and lower 50's are all minor engineering marvels. They're built atop the rail yard for Grand Central Terminal (an early adopter of the modern real estate concept of "air rights"). Many of the newer buildings are much taller than was anticipated when the terminal was constructed more than a century ago.
