In the short video we recorded with him, he talks about how they were shot at while waiting for aid at the American/Israeli “Gaza Humanitarian Aid“ station and how they need your help to afford shelter as Winter approaches.
Please watch, share, and help if you can.
Thank you :)

Occasionally known locally as the "S&M Bridge" for its often painful traffic congestion, looked at from the right distance, it can appear rather serine.

Hi everyone,
@joynewacc and I had the honour of speaking to four lovely people from Gaza today over video chat on Signal and we’d like to welcome them to the Gaza Verified family:
• @aseelfromgz
• @Salem_family
• @Doctor_abdullah
• @ahmedosamaPlease give them a warm welcome to Mastodon and the fediverse, follow their accounts, and, if you can, please help them with their fundraisers and please share this so others might also.
Thank you!
💕
PS. They will be adding the verified links to their accounts in the next few hours. Internet access is not always stable in Gaza and there are sometimes technical issues and sometimes the guy making the announcement (that’s me, by the way) forgets to tell them to do it before making the announcement.

@staff Hi there,
(I tried the email route but got an automated response, so I’m trying this instead.) :)
I just got notified that my friend Iman’s account (@emanahmed@mastodon.social) has been suspended with cause due to private messages being sent from her account to ask for donations. (One of the people who was upset about this contacted me directly to let me know their concerns.)
Iman and her family are based in Gaza at the moment facing genocide and famine and she was not aware of the etiquette of not sending private messages in this manner.
I have explained it to her and she has promised not to do so in the future.
Her account is real and we have spoken with her over video chat on Signal. You can find her account on Gaza Verified:
I’d like to kindly ask that her account be reinstated so that her family can continue to receive donations to afford food during the famine and raise funds to get to relative safety in the South of Gaza.
And, if possible, if you see a verified Gaza Verified link on someone‘s profile, I would greatly appreciate it if you could contact me before carrying out moderation tasks on their account as it is at least known that they are representing a family facing genocide and famine in Gaza for whom Mastodon and the fediverse are their last online lifeline.
(And if you have any concerns about accounts stating they’re from Gaza but without the Gaza Verified link, if you contact us, we will be more than happy to talk to them and verify them.)
Thank you.
