Nouran is an 18 year old palestinian surviving the genocide with her family of 9 members. Before the genocide, Yosef, a sibling of Nouran used to be one of the most reputant upwork worker (among the top 3%) as a Marketing Specialist. He was also the primary breadwinner of the family, alongside Ibrahim. The genocide has cost Yosef his contacts, and astronomical inflation has made it impossible to survive. She regularly hears the overwhelming sound of tanks and drones closing in, as she has recently posted on her fediverse account.

Today @joynewacc and I spoke to Salem (@Salem_family), a fourth-year engineering student from Gaza. He is responsible for his sick father and his sister’s family after their father died two weeks ago.

In the short video we recorded with him, he talks about how they were shot at while waiting for aid at the American/Israeli “Gaza Humanitarian Aid“ station and how they need your help to afford shelter as Winter approaches.

I just got notified that my friend Iman’s account (@emanahmed@mastodon.social) has been suspended with cause due to private messages being sent from her account to ask for donations. (One of the people who was upset about this contacted me directly to let me know their concerns.)

Iman and her family are based in Gaza at the moment facing genocide and famine and she was not aware of the etiquette of not sending private messages in this manner.

I have explained it to her and she has promised not to do so in the future.
