This 10-chapter serial is scary, funny, engages with real history and creepy urban legends, and also copes with witnessing the real-time horrors unfolding in America. It's centered on the experience of expats, immigrants, queer, and Indigenous characters surviving colonialist BS.

A third of the population would be 700,000 humans. Though it’s hard to say for sure since so many have been killed. https://www.cnn.com/2025/10/02/middleeast/gaza-famine-causes-vis-intl

It appears that Bluesky leadership doesn't understand that. I want nothing to do with it.

Any #citrus growers have any ideas what would cause yellowing of the veins on newer leaves? I've had like a handful of leaves drop recently 😕

It's an indoor, potted 2-3 yr orange tree that's maybe 3-4' tall. It's watered about weekly and fertilized every few months with a 13-6-6 citrus mix.

A colleague asked me yesterday what I thought of Tailwind, and thought I'd share the topline response: avoid it, not because it's slow (it's fine-ish), but because of the culture it drags behind it.

Instead, hire people who know CSS, then let them loose on your UI problem(s). Give them space to turn huge pile of JS into tiny rulesets, and create guardrails to keep slow selectors from hurting (e.g., Shadow DOM). Lean on the browser, not the transpiler.
