Today is the day the Black Panthers were founded. As a disabled person, I'm going to remember how the coalition they built with Disabled people and their support during the 504 protests are the reason we even have the ADA today.

As a gay person, I'm going to remember how Huey Newton gave speeches to defend gay rights and how the Black Panther movement literally changed minds during the civil rights movement on how gay people were perceived.

And I'm going to think of the Black Panthers who NEVER CAME HOME to fight that fight for us and thank every power I know they made that sacrifice.

The evidence for the historicity of the “Founding Fathers” in the state religion of ancient USia is poor at best. The surviving fragments of the Testament of Independence and the New Constitution show evidence of heavy redaction over the generations following the fall of the First Empire. The Euhemeristic thesis—that great myths stem from a kernel of historical truth—was explicitly embraced by the Senators (a local term for high priests) of the second-empire-period congress, and used as a means of ideological control; this control via iodeological immersion began from a young age. Religious observances such as the display of the Ten Amendments in schools, the continual preparation for the Active Shooter Rapture, and the Pledge of Consumption formed the core of an apocalyptic prophecy that led the culture to its own extinction.
