(Kudos to the contributors of this very astute section of Zohran Mamdani's Wikipedia bio.)

Screenshot from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zohran_Mamdani&oldid=1320519259 (current as of November 4, 2025) Mamdani's campaign platform has been considered by outlets to be similar to the policies pursued by former New York mayor Fiorello La Guardia and former U.S. president Franklin Delano Roosevelt.[91][92] The German state broadcaster Deutsche Welle classifies Mamdani's policies as being on the center-left of the global political spectrum.[93] This is unusual in the United States, as the 1950s Second Red Scare and the 1990s Democratic Pivot towards centrist neoliberalism occurred, which shifted the overton window of American politics significantly to the right compared to almost any other liberal democracies, and led national politics to being generally restricted between centrists and the hard right.[93] While misinformation has spread during the 2025 New York mayoral race calling his policies radical or communist, there is a consensus among political scientists that his policies are similar to those pursued by mainstream center-left parties in other developed democracies.[93] Mamdani identifies as being within the democratic socialist tradition.[51][94] He is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.[60][71] Mamdani has also been called a progressive.[68]

A man with glasses, holding a pair of socks, pointing towards it. The socks have terms like “fdnd”, “expert”, “how to” and “launch”, presented as separate pills in blue, white, turquoise and purple. A paper label wrapping the socks says “Hogeschool van Amsterdam”. The man wears a lanyard and performance.now() branded badge, saying “Alex Russell, Microsoft, United States, he/him”. In the background a conference venue with some chairs, a huge screen and some people are visible.

The whole point of a physical switch was to have a backup for the flaky connectivity, but nope. Aqara switch locks up and stops responding, just like the rest of the not-actually-smart devices ;(

This is the Nazi bar problem. They're standing on the curb and your doors are wide open. Sure, you're kicking them out after they walk in and punch a few customers, but is that really how you want your bar to be known? As the place that apologizes *after* the Nazi assaults you?

With the current US election results rolling in, it looks like we're in for another predictable wave of butthurt GravySeals aching to own the libs in a sad attempt to bring meaning to their poor little wannabe white power lives.

It's time to close registrations and step up moderation to protect the communities you helped grow.

Racism is chasing Black folx off Fedi.
Queerphobia is chasing LGBTQ+ folx off Fedi.
Sexism is chasing women off Fedi.

Do you want another incel white boys club like Twitter? Because inaction is how you get there.
