Get your flu (and COVID) vaccination!
You may have seen headlines that this year's flu virus isn't a great match for the 2025 vaccine. This has led some to think they do not need to get vaccinated. This is wrong. As one expert notes, “If there’s ever a year to get a flu vaccine, this is the year.” Many fear that this year's flu season could be particularly severe, with the UK, Japan, and Korea already experiencing a very early and severe wave of influenza.

Worth noting with Mastodon - one of the reasons for no cookie consent popup is.. there are no tracking cookies. At all.
Similar with official mobile apps, there's no privacy agreements etc in the app stores as there's no third party tracking.
Why is this notable? Try doing the same check on Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky or basically anywhere or anything else online. It's basically unheard of in 2025, as everybody else is selling you.

I have a student with a service dog. Yesterday our class was small, only 3, and she asked if she could take the dog’s vest off because he had been on task all day. We were all OK with that and as soon as she did, Milo, the dog came up to all of us for scratches and pats, a silly goofball with a full body wag. I had not appreciated how well trained and obedient he is, how much control it takes to be working. Really grateful he’s there for my student, and impressed how much they do together.

Starting with Chrome 144, Anchor Positioning is going to be transform-aware.
From then on, anchoring will resolve against the bounding box of the transformed anchor.

Before this change, the tooltip on the right (the one on the transformed anchor) would be anchored to the untransformed bounding box. Visually it would be anchored to the (untransformed) anchor in the center, which is not what you want.

I don't manage to get time to end writing the account management process of https://message.casa
It is not complicated, just registration with an invite code, and password change, but they must be secured processes.
I'd like to keep accounts anonymous, just a login and a password, without requiring an alternative email address. But this implies that it is not possible to get a link to reset the password.
Isn't it too dangerous to not have this possibility? If you lose your password, you definitively lose your account! It's not a good idea to send the reset link to the message.casa address. If you want to reset your password, it could be because someone has stollen your device or your session.
Is there a good design pattern to reset a password without a "backup" alternative email address?
