@fromjason have been learning Typst (https://typst.app) this week. Their web site sells SaaS addons to their core technology, a new document format aiming to replace LaTeX. But you can download and use the document compiler offline for free, and it’s open source.

this is super helpful because when i shut down the dialup.cafe instance, there was no easy way to get access to my old posts and images.
