Tahoe’s revamped Spotlight is impressive, but I think my brain is too wired for Alfred at this point—I start nearly all web searches with “g ”, and Spotlight seems peculiarly bad at doing web searches, unless there's something I'm missing.

"Where have all the websites gone?" is my most popular. It's a collection of jotted notes and unfinished posts that I cobbled together. I wrote the intro in how ever long it takes me to type that many words.
I didn't like it very much and expect the post to sit unread. But I posted and shared anyway. I'm so glad I did! I connected with a lot of cool people because of this blog post.

omg.lol has just switched to short-lived TLS certificates! :prami_happy:
Earlier this year, Let’s Encrypt announced that they were working on making this new type of profile available, and it’s finally here. Switching to short-lived certificates improves security for everyone.
You can read more here: https://letsencrypt.org/2025/02/20/first-short-lived-cert-issued
No action is needed on your part. When your current certificate expires, it will be replaced with a short-lived one automatically.
Huge thanks to @jack for helping with the transition!

POLL: do you care about your browser engine?
It has come to my attention that the artwork for the original mozilla.org "dinosaur" logo is not widely available online. So, here it is.
As I explained in some detail in my 2016 article "They Live and the secret history of the Mozilla logo", I commissioned this artwork from Shepard Fairey to use as the branding of the newly-founded mozilla.org and our open source release of the Netscape source code, which eventually became Firefox. This happened in March 1998...
