I was asked by a family member why it was taking so long to paste something large into a new Microsoft Word document on their computer, I sarcastically replied it was because it takes a while to upload it all to the copilot AI nonense first. And then I realized accidentally I might be right...I disabled copilot in Word and it went back to being instant again

So that's cool that Microsoft seems uploading everything you paste into a new Word doc to their servers now.

It wasn't until the second Blade Runner movie that I finally read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.

I love the world building and the themes explored, and it quickly became one of my all-time favorite post-apocalyptic stories (it's a long list).

I, Robot, by Isaac Asimov is my first memory of my father gifting me something based on things I showed an interest in. I was obsessed with robots, and boy, did I love these stories.

I took the book everywhere with me, even after I had finished it. The little robot tattooed on my forearm is in part based on my love for this book as a kid. I haven't revisited it since childhood though. Thinkin' I should.

The movie was fine.

Richard Matheson is one of my all-time favorite authors, and I Am Legend is his best work. It's an annual re-read for me. Usually around Halloween, but come to think of it, I missed this year!

Recently, my sister scolded me for explaining the book to my niece 😅. It's not my fault she loves zombies. Maybe it is.

Parable of the Sower is the only book I've read where I can, at any moment, revisit the locations Octavia Butler described. Lauren's childhood neighborhood, the derelict city streets, desolate highways, the farm with the big tree. Nothing before or since made me feel like I was part of the story. The world building and character development are unmatched. It's a beautiful read.
