Whoops dropped it.

If you aren't familiar with the horror that is the Icelandic cuisine known as "svið" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svi%C3%B0

A raven inspecting the surroundings to see if it's safe to swoop down and pick up the jawbone it just dropped

This raven is picking the meat off a sheep's jaw. I'm guessing somebody threw their "svið" leftovers out for the ravens to enjoy. #birds #iceland #raven

A raven with a sheep's jaw in its claws, as seen in black and white through some branches.
The raven now has the jaw in its beak, trying to reposition it.
And now some more repositioning of the jawbone
The raven, on the tree branch, looks like it's having fun picking at the jaw.

So, for this #caturday, the reason why I'm thankful my neighbour has placed his bird feeders well out of the reach of the cats.

Grása, a very fluffy grey and white cat, sits by a timber fence. Unseen is the bird feeder that hangs well above her reach.
These two ginger cat siblings arrived in the neighbourhood a year ago. They live across the street from the house with the bird feeder.
Another photo of the cat Grása who is relaxing in the sun.
This black cat also lives in this same street and is also coming out for a longing gaze at the birds feeding.

This is precisely the kind of thing we're talking about, when we're talking about #digitalSovereignty - even if Palantir wasn't a very dubious organisation, we still shouldn't be sending our citizens data to overseas orgs. The risks are too great, and the outcomes are permanent.

Oh my god. The Vegan Teacher is back. 😅

This lady was causing all sorts of drama on tiktok back in the day. She wrote a song that made an acrostic for the n word, trying to make it into a positive thing. Just absolute rancid, narcissistic stuff.

I can't believe she's active again. We really have lost the ability to shame people.

Shout out to all my vegan friends who cringe at her existence. We know almost no one is actually like this is real life.

An old run-down barn and some old run-down garages with a new building in between them.

The only thing I'd add to this excellent post is that rehiring will only happen if the economy is otherwise in good shape, which is by no means certain at this point. (Oil crisis. Disasters. Trade wars. Etc. Etc.)
