in the course of doing this extremely simplistic citation scraping I have gone from "what's the big deal about tailwind, if it helps some less CSS-savvy engineers make things that look nice, let people enjoy things" to "tailwind delenda est" in the space of about 2 hours. I did not realize that tailwind sites, in addition to using the tailwind concrete-style classes, thereby habitually abandon *all* semantic markup at the same time

The vast majority of people who will be impacted by trans bans in sports will be little girls with short hair or arms that are "too muscular."

It will also mean that when a woman is good at her sport the disgusting grumbling and whispering about "may she is he" gets taken more seriously.

This happened with Paula Radcliffe for running marathons too fast. If it helps you to think of a white cis woman being the victim of this.

Of course little black girls will take the brunt of this. As ever.

Street art mural by Marquitos Corvalán depicting Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons painted on a white brick wall, with thick green hanging plants above cleverly forming his wild, spiky hair. The character stands with a smug expression, wearing a green shirt and blue pants, while the natural foliage blends seamlessly into the artwork, creating a playful illusion where nature becomes part of the design.

So, serious questions. I keep seeing people in tech talk as if they don’t see the difference between indexing media to aid in the discovery of said media and indexing it all to replace it and deprive the creators of revenue.

Is it really not obvious to people in tech why people in the arts and creative industries might be fine with the former but extraordinarily furious about the latter? Or that the legal framework surrounding the two might actually be different?
