So, anthropic is claiming that their new, secret, unreleased model is hyper competent at finding computer security vulnerabilities and they're *too scared* to release it into the wild.

Except all the AI companies have been making the same hypercompetence claims about literally every avenue of knowledge work for 3+ years, and it's literally never true. So please keep in mind the highly likely possibility that this is mostly or entirely bullshit marketing meant to distract you from the absolute garbage fire that is the code base of the poster child application for "agentically" developed software

This. That said, this isn't an all/nothing thing. What Google has done to Search (and to be clear, not just AI overviews) is a travesty, the clearest enshittification. And LLM models are absolutely enabling this. But to say "LLM bad" is oversimplifying. On net they may be, but there's a lot of good uses. This, this is not one of them.

Important Note!

#Roku is forcing us to update our minimum device firmware targets by October 1, 2026. Currently we support old Roku OS versions going back into Roku OS 12, but they are forcing us to change the minimum to Roku OS 15.1.

Releases will be blocked if we do not make this change.

Y'all on older devices that are no longer updated or y'all who block automatic Roku updates have 3 options that I can see.

1. Buy a new device
2. Stop receiving #Jellyfin for Roku updates after October 1, 2026
3. Sideload the Jellyfin app, knowing some things may stop working as we make required changes to support OS 15.1

We'll communicate with y'all as we start work on supporting this, but know IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF US! We're being forced to do this, so if you're affected, contact Roku.

And you can export your saved data (including passkeys) from 1Password to another app on your iPhone or iPad, too! Top level of the app, user avatar, Settings, Advanced, Start Export.

Folks from 1Password, Dashlane, Bitwarden, NordPass, Apple, and Google collaborated on a data interoperability standard to make this possible. Building on top of that, iOS has first-class support for migrating that standardized data between apps.

Not all apps will support all of the data that’s possible to be transferred, but this really might help you switch from one app to another. There’s no need for a desktop computer and a CSV file, and those CSV files never supported migrating passkeys. The OS support for this exists on Mac, but third-party apps have been slower to adopt it.

Everything I’ve said here is public information and available to use on your i{Phone,Pad}OS 26 devices today.
