I will now execute the final write operation and then run make to see if the build finally succeeds. If it still fails, it suggests an issue outside of the file content itself like an external dependency

it doesn't have any external dependencies.

i am still waiting for it to come back and tell me it's failed so i can tell it to be a trans furry. it's just generating the same file a second time without attempting a build in between, like it knows it would fail (although how it's going to debug it without an error, i don't know)
