After doing a couple of private workshops on how to use #Mastodon, I've decided I could just record a series of tutorials and have everyone benefit from it. Mastodon has a lot of features, and sometimes even long time users aren't aware of all of them! The first episode is about making posts on Mastodon--going over every aspect.

lend your spare capacity, earn the right to borrow. machines find each other automatically on the same network, bond by consent and shared keys, stay fully independent.

honestly, it's like everyone conveniently forgets you are supposed to review updates to your dependencies. who has time for that when you could be shipping?

i will say it again - dependencies are not free. do not just depend on a pile of stuff without reviewing it. this applies whether or not you are using an LLM, but i bet it gets even less attention from LLM users.

A meme with the caption, "Still confused as to why I need to put my cake in the oven at 120 degrees". The image shows the inside of an oven. Resting on the wire rack is a clear plastic protractor. A rectangular foil baking pan containing cake batter is propped up against the protractor at exactly a 120-degree angle.
