It's hard to appreciate just how good phones have gotten at being little content creating machines. Social media companies have sucked the joy out of content creation, so it's gauche to gush about such things.

But there was a time when I would've been through the moon excited to have three camera lenses, a decent microphone, and a 4k video editor all on one device. Alas, it's lost on me now.

I was thinking while cycling: Perhaps a structured course could help with this. Something providing enough accountability (read: deadlines) to convince my ADHD self to do shit while being small-scope enough to only need to set aside a couple of hours a week. I think getting consistency/good habits is key to getting this to stick.

Suggestions welcome, paid or free (although probably not hundreds of pounds unless I can convince someone else to pay).

Or as @wizbean suggested, a group of people where I help out with a small part of a game project rather than a full project. (I have dabbled in non-game C++, Godot and Lua Love). I won't be able to help out more than a couple of hour a week but I'd like to develop skills (and offer my contributions in return)
