@neatnik Finally got around to trying this with my #egemi browser.

I haven't debugged what's coming across the wire, but the mime parser I'm using seems to think it's invalid for hello.php:

Another screenshot, now at /hello.php instead of the root: MimeParseError( FromStrError { inner: InvalidToken { pos: 6, byte: 32, }, }, )

A friend sent me this today. It amused me. Yes I have used a grid dip meter many times, but I bet few people have heard of them these days. I have no idea who deserves credit for the image.

A poster advertising a book. It is a joke. The poster shows several pages from the book describing a grid dip meter and it various uses. It is humorous and tongue-in-cheek.

By trying to lead these anti-kink crusades, you're making it worse for everyone (including yourself) because regimes don't care if you think you're "one of the good ones." The target on your back isn't any less noticeable to them and it's no secret to anyone who's been around the block a few times that this is always how it goes.

Protect queer spaces and culture. That includes furry, kink, and how they intersect.

If you don't understand a kink, do some research and ask questions. If you still don't like it, that's fine. You don't have to like everything, but you can't be out here leading crusades against people who have done literally nothing wrong and are just trying to have a good time. You also can't be out here making false blanket accusations against an entire group and expect it to go over well.

Trying to exclude objectively queer people from a queer space only makes the overall culture weaker and defenseless against oppressive regimes who would rather we didn't exist because we threaten their very normalcy and toxic masculinity. The hate against ABDL/Ageplay is largely ignorance and often times willful ignorance. Someone sees something they don't like/understand and instead of shrugging and moving on, they feel the need to interject and make it about themselves. Apparently the thought is "if we just get these weirdos out of the fandom, then the rest of the fandom should be fine," but that's just normie-washing and it has never, ever fucking worked in the history of ever.

Hearing about very young furries trying to start shit on Twitter/X and TikTok against kinks like ageplay/ABDL is exhausting. To quote Master Shake: "I am thirty or forty years old, and I do not need this."

But I can't help but talk about it for a moment anyway because I just want to get out here and make people aware of why this is a bigger deal than it appears right now at this exact period in time thanks to the shitstorm of a political landscape.

There are enough computer games to play now too. Your life isn't long enough to play all the ones we have, it's time to stop making more. Just play them.

Stop making more computer. Immediately.

I’ve made a few VPs unhappy in my corporate days by refusing to cater to their self-induced frenzies.

“But my boss wants this tomorrow, you have to drop everything! They’re a VP!”

“They’re not my VP and their lack of planning isn’t my team’s responsibility.”

To be clear, I tried to be a team player and to respond quickly for real urgent situations. Need to respond to a zero-day announcement? Yes, we’ll jump for that. Sure! The VP just has a QBR and wants one more bucket bullet point on the slides? Or didn’t plan ahead for the analytics they want? That’s a shame.

I always fought false urgency because I wanted the ability to respond when something was legitimately urgent, without being burned out or burning out others. (I might also have a minor oppositional streak. Maybe.)

My blog is still kinda broken, and one of these days I'll dust it off and fix it up so I can share some more longer-form thoughts. But here's one that I'll share briefly here today.

The thing that makes me sad about seeing an obviously made-by-AI website isn't the use of AI itself. It's the complete lack of individuality in the result. I'd rather see a sloppy or funky-looking website than a meticulous one made by a machine. I want to see the author reflected on the page. I want to see a *soul*.

Yes, the "bad guys" are human. The "good guys" are human. The "elites" and the "regular folks" are human.

Every social and economic class is made of humans. Rapists and pedophiles are human. Givers and heroes are human.

Humans are full of beneficial stuff, harmful stuff, neutral stuff.
