I have a Christmas Tree kit and while wondering where to put that I realise that perhaps I could connect up my Arduino to the kit to make the tree "smart" somehow. At the very least, give the lights an interesting blinking pattern.

I wonder if the kit supports this without too much hassle

But it still blows my mind that I'm hot nowadays.

And not because I'm that conventionally hot, although transition has helped change things in a pleasant direction, immensely so.

It's that one thing I heard once kinda changed my mindset completely.

Natalie Wynn, known on YouTube as Contrapoints, said in one of her videos (and I paraphrase) that the purpose of having a personal style is that if you can't look beautiful, you should at least look interesting.

And she's right. Finding the way *I* look has made me legitimately hotter.

You should do that too. Especially if you're transitioning or want to. But I think that applies to everyone, trans or cis. Being yourself will make you look good.

I don't mean that just in the supportive "be yourself! Fuck the haters" way (although that too). I mean in the sense that having a firm idea about your looks is a great way to show the world how *you* wanna be attractive.

Don't underestimate the power of that.

@emily_s I learned of a cool trick with these pens - you can use them to draw sewing/embroidery patterns! Since they are removed by heat you can simply iron the ink off when you're done with it

The whole story is PR. We know that from Anthopic's Mythos: "Look we have this super secret new model and it's so powerful. We are scared ourselves. And you will soon be able to rent it!"

and in the comments someone mentions this repository so i go and check it out and there's this PR that seems about right. so i don't know kubernetes but it seems like there was a kubernetes worker that could just run arbitrary commands on their clusters if compromised, so that's cool.

there was also this PR from 2 hours ago that "temporarily reject(s) the packaged raw Arrow builder in safe_load_dataset_builder" pending this PR in another repo that validates maliciously formed arrow IPC record batches. hmm that sounds like the code in question.

safe_load_dataset_builder was introduced here on june 11th: https://github.com/huggingface/dataset-viewer/pull/3360 in a PR that allegedly makes data loading safer and switched the repo in question to only using data streaming as part of a sprint that the author describes as being about loading LLM traces and streaming data shuffling.

i'm not going looking for and trying to diagnose the full template injection path, but idk at least from what I can tell, code written by AI in order to feed more data to AI at least has been busily associated with, if not introduced some vulnerability which is now being patched by flurries of more AI code being rushed through while tests keep failing. I am not so sure about their lessons learned being "make sure you have more AI to help you to understand the problems that AI creates."
