:boost_requested: #Strudel I can't play most of the samples available and in the console I get the error [getTrigger] error: Unable to decode audio data.

What is happening here? How can I get audio data decoding?

If it helps, I'm using Vivaldi browser with Arch Linux (btw).

EDIT: I found out it works on pure Chromium so it seems to be a #Vivaldi issue

The Pyramids of Egypt were not constructed with slave labor. Archaeological evidence shows that the laborers were a combination of skilled workers and poor farmers working in the off-season with the participants paid in high-quality food and tax exemptions. The idea that slaves were used originated with Herodotus, and the idea that they were Israelites arose centuries after the pyramids were constructed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List%5Fof%5Fcommon%5Fmisconceptions%5Fabout%5Fhistory#Ancient%5Fhistory

Photo of a snake gourd- it's a long skinny green vegetable with bright white racing stripes down the sides, and this one got curled up while growing so it does look like a snake coiled up and holding its head up. It's sitting on a person's hand, with the farm in the background.

Okay, I dump on bsky a fair bit... I mean no edit feature (still), it tends to really mangle images when recompressing them, it has an obnoxiously low character limit, it's not *actually* federated in any meaningful way, etc, etc... but today I uploaded a video and they now let you upload soft subtitles (vtt format), which is an awesome feature that I wish Mastodon/Fedi (and other platforms that let you share video) would adopt!

I have discovered through two hours of research that Daniel Smith's Undersea Green and Roman Szmal's Geothite are possibly the two most underrated paints in my collection. Also that QOR makes Cobalt Teal and Cobalt Turquoise and I never really understood why there had to be two, but now I get it. Add in some Manganese Blue Hue and you have every sunny sky, every roiling bit of surf, not that I can paint either but hey that's what lifetimes are for.

An art journal spread, with six triads of colors combined to test how different pigments go together. This one is mostly blues and greens, but there are some spectacular earth tones too, and swatches of greeny-ness all over the place.

Not sure what to make of that behaviour. Honestly it's nice to stop the communication late at night, but it can't be great if someone with a timezone difference wants to reach out.

OTOH as long as I'm actually going to bed at a reasonable time, turning the server off stays

Hey, wanna see the art shop where I spent just so much money? So much.

Photo of the outside of the art shop, it's a brickwork cottage with a steep roof. It looks British, like there'll be a Midsomer Murder in the area. The bricks are painted white, and there's some lush garden against the wall.
Corner shelves in the art shop, with the backwall at the back of the photo and the wall shelves down the left side. The wall shelves include hanging tubes of paint, and shelves of paint jars. The back walls have more jars, and bottles of paint in little cubby holes. It's packed full of colours, all of the colours.
It is the pens section of the art shop. All the markers and pens tucked into their special shelves, in all the colours. Coptic markers nearest the camera and posca paint pens further away. The colours are glorious.
Looking down one of the narrow aisles toward the back wall. The back wall is hidden behind boxed easels in all sizes, a shelf above them holds small folio cases. The right wall of the aisle is oil pastels, with block printing ink on the bottom shelves. The left side is lined with stretched canvases and boxes of pastels and pencils.
