This is actually happening; we're building a community to execute a bigotry-free #Rails fork (29 people and increasing at time of writing). Come join us, we need your help and expertise.

Sometimes when I'm struggling with writer's block (or any creative equivalent thereof) I set a goal to create the crappiest version of the thing I'm trying to make.

And if it's too crappy to actually use I can always redo it later.

Usually it helps ease the writer's block and sometimes the "crappy" version is actually good

Hm. If I want to have fun and un-CMS my web site, so migrate to static pages for my blog, what programming language should I try to learn in the process? I'd probably use Python since that's what I've used recently but that's too obvious. What's the most fun language to make it interesting? Better if the language has a PostgreSQL library, I think.

Last week, it was brought to our attention that a part of our mission statement was very badly worded.
The phrase "in a way that traditional archives cannot" caused harm. While we never intended to insult and devalue, it happened nevertheless.

We regret this phrasing deeply - frankly, it's embarrassing - and have removed it from every instance of our mission statement.

Please allow us to clarify how it happened, what we tried to bring across, and how we are proceeding:

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are outside, looking at a rain cloud. Blue is glaring at the cloud, and the cloud is glaring back. Blue: Are you going to rain or not? Cloud: That depends. Were you planning to paint that shed today? Green: That depends on whether it rains today. The cloud does not answer. The foxes and the cloud glare at each other in silence for a moment. Eventually, the cloud breaks the silence. Cloud: We can do this all day, buddy. Blue: We will.

Wondering how to fix it without buying a whole new set of trainers. Will a bike tyre puncture repair kit work?
