I can no longer plug my keyboard into a USB-A port on my thunderbolt dock. nothing else has changed that I am aware of; I can still plug it in to a USB-C port. It’s a USB2 device. It originally worked with my USB-A ports.
I don’t have time for this shit

Looking for help with KDE Plasma.
I have a teleprompter, it mirrors the screen. Mirror in this case doesn't mean "shows the same thing another screen does", I mean literally: it's a mirror. Like the kind that reflects light back at you.
In swaywm I can easily apply a
transform flippedon that display, in order for the mirror to show me the correct information. In GNOME I can usegdctlto perform a similar transformation. Does KDE Plasma have a similar utility? Please note: I am not talking about "rotating" a screen, I'm talking about flipping, inverting, or reversing a screen so that it is visible in a literal physical mirror

@glyph I guess with a sample set of 2 I don't know for sure that it's the serial number; it could well be sorting the base64 hash of that plus the manufacture date plus ... But there is something intrinsic to each physical monitor that determines their ordering.

@glyph Yup. I had to physically move them to get the "boot screen" to be on the left.
To be clear, I *know* of like 10 different services which I could probably make the case for at least some of this stuff, so I don't need you to do a research project for me here just to find hosting services, what I want is strongly-held opinions about a best practice in this area. Ideally something that you've used, but fine if it's just something that you've heard positive opinions about.
@jwz I mean I guess this is better than "random", but, holy shit. what.
@jwz welp. time to become the joker

@jalefkowit I eventually determined that the way macOS decides which of my (identical model) monitors is "screen 0" is which one has the lexicographically lowest serial number. Regarless of what ports they are attached to.

Let's say I'm teaching someone to code. What's the best option for a place for them to be able to host a website that is:
A) able to run arbitrary code[1]
B) self-contained; I don't want to set up 5 different services
C) as cheap as humanly possible[1]: in my case I care the most about being able to run a docker container that can listen on an arbitrary network socket, but for services that hit B and C really hard I would be OK being restricted to Python and/or HTTPS if that were the tradeoff
