Omarchy is a honeypot for organizations that lack a conscience.

I'm working on phase 2 of Project Improve Git's documentation and I need beta readers! Here's a signup form: https://forms.gle/swn1jhCULndnCxG87

The first topic is going to the docs on merge conflicts.

I'd love signups from anyone who uses Git on the command line and who would be interested in reading the current version of some man pages and leaving feedback about what's confusing. Especially if you're not 100% comfortable with Git!

You can see that, most dramatically, in policing in the USA. When you have a gun, you're predisposed, as part of the human-gun gestalt, to look for reasons to shoot."

Lest anybody misinterpret some of my recent posts/replies about the anger inherent in the LLM usage in open source discussions...

I am angry about data centers. I am disappointed that so many people are happily using LLM services like Claude despite all the negative impact they have.

I'm beyond angry at people passing off LLM output as their own, and having to wade through unwanted LLM output.

It feels like gasoline on the bonfire of democracy that we're all suffering through at the moment.

But I'm also just tired of people being ugly to each other. Bone-tired to my very soul at this point. Burnt crispy and running on fumes.

We are all hurting at the hands of people behind these tools and the system we're trapped in. I don't see how being ugly toward other humans trapped in the same cell is going to get us out. I just don't.

A screenshot of John Coffey from the movie "The Green Mile" Caption reads: "I'm tired, boss. Tired of bein' on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. Tired of not ever having me a buddy to be with, or tell me where we's coming from or going to, or why. Mostly I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head all the time."

… Whatever the true figure is, it’s a considerable sum that comes on top of the bloated trillion-dollar Pentagon budget that has already been approved for 2026, and it is money that could, in theory, be used for other purposes. Take the seventy-three billion dollars in extra funding that House Republicans approved. The authors of an analysis published last week by the Center for American Progress (cap), a liberal think tank, pointed out that this amount of money would “provide full Medicaid coverage for 5 million more people, with $33 billion left over.” That money, in turn, could be used to substantially raise snap benefits (formerly known as food stamps) for children from poor families and double the funding for the National Park Service and for emergency food-and-shelter assistance’
