we just went and checked a detail in OpenAI's terms of use, because we want to be able to say for sure that it's what we think. as context on this, we're not a lawyer but we're a privacy expert and are highly familiar with the enforcement of clauses in the form we're about to show. every major online service has one like this, and it's always been a very serious problem.

Well there's the shoe dropped: the terms of service have always allowed openAI to use your data essentially however they please, and apparently they will in fact use it to steal your work.
