My mom had been joking about getting the gate, and didn't expect me to do anything. But apparently I was too... literal and naive or something...
Anyway, I think we both learned a valuable lesson that day. My mom not to joke about such things, and me to not act so swiftly or trustingly when people make requests (even those people you trust the most). 😆
