Murdoch's route really captures that feeling of being in your 20s and kind of at loose ends: stumbling into a job from someone you hooked up with, getting semi-publicly high out at the lake with a couple of guys who have Opinions on the nature of reality, going to someone's house and finding yourself in a minefield of someone else's strained family relationships, etc
