Fun fact: As the Creative Consultant for the show, I actually worked out the (EXTREMELY general) five-season story arc of SGU with Brad Wright between seasons one and two, which would explain why Destiny was out there in the first place and how the show would end and why (and yes, in fact, Eli played a critical role). And when people ask me what that story arc is, I tell them that unfortunately it's covered by an NDA, and then I run before they can tear me limb from limb.
