• The Fediverse is designed so relatively small time players without a whole lot of knowhow can thrive here, making it inherently antiracist. Minorities don't make as much money, or get as much education, and despite that, this place enables them to have a voice. Pointing at its lack of diversity is ignoring that it's the most diverse social network in existence, with people from all races and creeds, and walks of life. Yes it's not perfect, and complaining about the Fediverse's centralized and inaccessible aspects is completely valid. It would be great to make this place more representative of humanity as a whole. But it's already closer than anything else. It does no one any good to claim that it's not, other than the racists trying to trap us on Twitter.
