This Twig Mimic caterpillar, is doing a fantastic job of… looking like a twig.

I glanced down and exclaimed, “Why is there a TWIG on my chair armrest?!”

It enjoyed the compliment so it’s been in this pose for nearly an hour.

• Closeup of a grayish-pinkish caterpillar about 1 ½ inches long. There are no bristles or bright colors but the caterpillar resembles a tiny stick or twig that might snap. It has 2 pairs of rear pronged feet that are attached to a black, plastic armrest. The crest of it body is erect, reaching outward, and floating in space.
