I also tried my hand at studying some old portraits.
And I am forever drawing variations of alien/monster heads. Sorry not sorry.
I've also been sketching out ideas for pieces that I will likely never attempt, but it's fun to think about them. That one has mild backside nudity, so watch out!
Attachments:
- A portrait of a woman. The photograph I was studying was of Lulu Hunt Peters, whose photo I happened to stumble upon in the June 2024 issue of the Smithsonian. I wouldn't say I captured her likeness. (remote)
- Just another alien head. It has large dark eye that stare intensely that give the impression of listening intently, but in reality it is often distracted by its own thoughts. (remote)
- A quick sketch trying to work out an idea I have. In this case, you see a figure from behind that appears to be attempting to open a locked door. It is nude, and its head is mostly a grotesque mouth of teeth and a long protruding tongue. "Familiar but unwelcome" (remote)
