So imagine you cheat on your partner, like tons of times, for decades. Constantly cheating. And finally, you get caught.
And in response, the only atonement you offer is a short story you wrote about an imaginary better person than you are, who didn't cheat.
No apology; no admittance of wrongdoing. Just a few nice little pages that ultimately mean nothing in the real world and do nothing to address what you did.
Ok now you're caught up on Supreme Court ethics thing.
